Pranayama is a sanskrit word made up of prana: life force or breath, and ayama: to extend. You will learn how to use your diaphragm efficiently in order to make full use of your lungs to fully oxygenate your body. You'll then be guided through a series of simple yogic breathing techniques used by free-divers, that will lower the heart rate, nourish the nervous system and increase your breath-hold capacity.
Beyond numerous benefits of learning how to control your breath, these techniques will also allow exploration of a new dimension underwater during sessions.
Your initial session will take place in our meditation studio, while follow-up sessions can take place in water as well as in combination with aquatic bodywork sessions.
